hello all,

while starting the distribution service i am getting the following error. i am stucked due to this.

i am running service on server.

window could not start qlikview distribution service service on local computer

Error:1067 the process terminated unexpetedly.

fast hellp will be appriciated.

Hi Sunil,

Try using a domain user account, not with a local user one, in the service properties (Log on Sheet).

This worked for me:

copy C:\WINDOWS\system32\PerfStringBackup.INI from a PC where perfmon works correctly
lodctr /R:[Path_to_the_wew_PerfStringBackup.INI]\PerfStringBackup.INI

This could be an issue with the user account hot having rights to start a Comms object. Yes, even if that account is part of the local machine Administrator Group (hate those polices).. You will have to go into Component Services and give them permissions. Edit default for both and add the user.

We solve the error 1067 installing. NET Framework 3.5.1

Server 2008 R2 64bit.

Solved using the below steps.

1. Setting the permissions for the User in component services(administrator Tools -> component Services->Computers->my computers->properties->com security-edit default ) add users and provide the permissions.

2. rebuilt performance counter using

run cmd as administrator
cd ../syswow64
LODCTR /R

3. Restarted Qlikview distribution services.
