In qlikview 8.5 in the manager there is a button to restart the qvs.

How can i restart my qlikview server in version 10?

Hi,

Right now I am using 9.0 so not able to tell you about 10 but you can restart by going to run command---->services.msc----->Qlikview server .You can use this to restart your server/publisher.

I understand your sollution. There are also scripts to do that, but i 8.5 there was a button, so i don't really have to logon to the server.
