Has anyone been able to get one of the QMS Samples to work? or build a sample with the Getting started QMS API.pdf that actually works?

I get an error about the GetTimeLimitedRequestKey method not being declared and I'm unable to refresh service information after the app.config file has been changed.

So with other words, there is no sample available that works. So QVS API just doesn't work!

I got it to work doing updating the service reference and removing the second endpoint from the app.config. Please let me know if that works for you. Regards,

Skoezzi: The QMS API's work just fine, and the working samples included works as well if the server and api "client" has the same version. As said; update the web service reference, to get the correct match between the api app (client) and QMS (server).

It's in the Qlikview Server SDK. It is part of the Qlikview server installation.

When I try the Qlikview User manager I get the error: 'Authorization failed for user 2SALPR-QVIEW01\QVXS, required access level is QlikViewManagementAPI'.

This user (QVXS) has local admin rights on the Qlikview Server at 2SALPR-QVIEW01.

I've updated the config file for qv-user-manager but still get the above error message.

I am running QV Version 10 SR3 and downloaded the SDK just the other week. The readme file for the powertools states that this is version 1.0 and the filedate of the powertools is 7/11/2011.

what am I doing wrong?

Yes, for me it worked like this: Create the group "QlikView Management API". add the user DOMAIN \ xxxxx, make a log off and log in and test
