QlikView dashboards open access

Hi,

I know that it must be possible to publish QV-dashboard on the web and give unlimeted access via Web browser to anyone who might need it.

Could you advise which of QV solutions is the most appropriate to solve this task?

You need an additional QlikView server licence (extranet if I'm not mistaken). You need to contact your license supplier for this license.

Can you share the link in the future? Always nice to view what other build.

You are talking about giving unlimited anonymous users access to one QV document on the open web.

This can be done by getting yourself an Information Access Server (or IAS).

2 notes:

- These servers are not cheap

- If you want to limit / control the access, you might be better of with getting a QlikView Extranet Server (QES).

I have to check the terms of QV usage with my company. I'm not quite sure that we can provide our clients with unlimited access.

Feel free to share those links. I use them during my training to "demo" the IAS server.

Please note that the Information Access Server and the QlikView Extranet Server are two totally different solutions.

The first allows anonymous access without CALs. The server comes at a high price with some serious restrictions that get "compensated" by not having to buy CALs.

The second is near the price of an Enterprise Server, allows more documents, requires login, but also requires (session) CALs.

Be sure to have a call with our local office to investigate the possibilities. If you are talking about an OEM solution, their might even be more options.
