QlikView Server out of duty, license not reflecting

Hello,

I'm running QlikView server and publisher on a windows VM
Our license is renewed successfully as we confirmed with our contact in Qlik customer service management.
However i'm unable to apply the license, i have all the needed info (serial number, control number, LEF, owner information)
LEF should be correct as it was shared by our contact in Qlik.
Also tried to generate it from here with same results https://lef1.qliktech.com/manuallef/default.aspx

Tried restarting the QlikView windows services many times and applying the license again with no success.
worth noting the license for publisher is working fine with no issues.

Not reflecting means what? An error-message by applying the lef-information? Or looks this successful but afterwards the licence becomes not valide?

Before investigating the matter more deeply make sure that there is no further Qlik environment running with this licence. It happens easily with VM that there is another older/test one which is also active - and this would block each other.

gives me LEF expired although license is renewed and should be valid till 31-07-2026
and QV Server is always off duty

Coming from today the date of 31-07-2026 is in the past.

Then like hinted make sure that no other instance of this licence is running - each image VM which is running and in which the QlikView server services aren't disabled (usually they are on automatic) could cause such effects.

Also impact may have when the services are started - as far as possible or delayed (to avoid any potential trouble set all services to a delayed start which ensures that all windows stuff including all libraries are loaded before QlikView tries to use them).

Also take a look on the environment if there were any other changes unless the renewed licence. Each change to the QlikView or the OS release and/or their configurations may cause trouble as well as changes to the network like a different IP (restricted access by any firewall / group policies) or server-name (QlikView relates on it in many configurations).

If there is nothing obvious I would start to take a look within the various log-files from QlikView and Windows to see if there are any hints for further investigations.

What i tried and fixed it is restarting the whole Windows VM
also i noticed that the QV Server configuration have been reset during this process
not sure why and this is the first time it happens.

So issue was fixed with a lot of stopping and starting of QV Services and the restart of the Windows VM itself.
