Hi,

We have a server with the following specification:

64GB RAM

2.3 GHz (4 processors)

I have a Qlikview Model that is 3GB.

It is a bit slow, especially for a specific Sheet,

I was wondering whether the number of CPU's on the server is good enough for a Qlikview file of 3GB, which will be getting larger in the future,

or should we add more and how many...???

Kind Regards

Razak

Hi Razak,

Is 3Gb the size of the file or the size of the document in memory? As far as QlikView is concerned, the most powerful (not the most expensive) CPUs and the more and faster RAM your server has, the better results you will get. So it's not only about the processor speed or RAM amount, but about RAM speed and CPU power.

Take a look at this very useful doc on hardware and QlikView.

Hope that helps.

Miguel
