but i've already follow that discussion, i've download the example but for me it still doesn't work.

Another think is that i don't undrstand how the map become the background of the chart.

Oh, it is a rather different question 🙂

See chart properties, Colors tab. there is radio-button "dynamic image", and the field to the right of it where the whole google maps secret sits.

And make sure that you don't use 100% transparency, right below...

I've been using the 8.5 version of qlikview that didn't support dynamic image.

Now working with the 11 all work well.

Hi luke, How did you get the gmap_key, will it work when hosted on the server as well as the client or the key is different for both?

True, there is no dynamic image in 8.50.
There is a little different, less convinient solution. Keep your scatter chart transparent, on top level. Behind the chart, on bottom, set a text box, and copy the same exact text for map calculation as you use in dynamic image.

to tell the truth i've used the key "embedded" in the example.

But may be you can found somethinh usefull here

Hi All,

GIS/Maps Analytics in QlikView is a very interesting topic indeed.

However, there are many technical limitations in using Google Maps (GMaps) to display QlikView KPI indicators. First of all, the drill-down, pan and selection capabilities are quite limited. Moreover, you cannot display several indicators at the same time and on the same map (background + foreground indicators), you are also limited to draw bubbles and therefore you cannot display pie/bar charts nor "real" heat maps. Finally, you cannot display QlikView KPIs on specific Sales/Business Areas with GMaps such as the Bricks in the Pharmaceutical sector (Brick = aggregation of zipcodes).

On top of that, there are also a few "commercial" aspects to be considered since many QlikView customers & channel partners use GMaps API "FREE" Key inside their QlikView server or rich client without complying with GMaps license terms...Indeed, for "professional internal use" (intranet, extranet or internet with username/password authentication to QlikView application), you must buy GMaps API "Premier" which costs about 10,000 $ USD per year or 8,500 euros per year + possible extra fees depending upon the total number of daily hits.

A few alternatives exist such as Open Street Map (totally FREE) or other WMS/TMS services. I hereby suggest you to have a look at our new mapping extension for QlikView 11 SR1 namely "GeoQlik v11.6":

Which demos are you talking about? The ones in demo.qlik.com with Google Maps?

GeoQlik v11.6 extension for QlikView 11 SR1 demos use Open Street Map by default but can use other WMS/TMS service such as GMaps, Bing Maps, Yahoo Maps, ESRI imagery, etc.

Good Morning Srs, give a look with you could help me,

I'm with a problem with the zoom of my google map, the map is working correctly until the moment i clik at one random "ball". The graph shows nothing beyond the name of the streets and the ball, but the graphic design it does not show,

What could be happening? Below is a picture of my problem, thanks everyone.
