Can there be a QVW without any Script?

I have received a particular qvw in which when I go to edit script, I don't see anything. But as I click on the data model, I see the data model in place! I checked if the script is hidden, which it was not. My question is , is it possible that I develop a QVW , save it, reload it & then delete the script contents? Is that anyhow possible?

Hi tutan,

Dont know what you want to achieve by doing that but yes in qlikview you can create hidden script, cntrl+E--> File--> Create Hidden Script. also after load you can delete the script without affecting the data but ofcourse you cannot reload after that.

As Varun says this is possible to load your data and then delete your script, however a better way would be to store the script in a qvs file and refer to it. That way your script is completely separate from your qvw and you don't need to remove anything when sending it.
