Windows authentication for users in qlikview

Hey,

In my project, there are six group of users as in six different kind o users which will have different level of authentication. can windows authentication kind of authentication be done in qlikview so that

->a user need not fill in user id and password

->and gets recognized automatically as he opens a qlikview document

-> different level of access can be given to different user groups

and above all, how can i do it? given that i am using a personal edition of qlikview?

Hi,

You can specify NTName or NTGroup in the Section Access.

Check the Section Access paragraph in the reference manual.

if I understand correct,

if ur looking for data level access u have to implement group level security through section access,else u r looking to provide access fro groups from

->a user need not fill in user id and password --->

->and gets recognized automatically as he opens a qlikview document --->it will recognized automatically if the user is part of ur domain group.

-> different level of access can be given to different user groups ----i think ur looking ofr here data level access--for this u have to implement section access based on ur groups there is alternative.
