      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;in the former the expression is defined (not exactly but for lets say so for understanding purpose) in the latter the expression string is evaluated.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;lets say var is defined as max(value), it wont give value unless an "=" is placed (which is evaluating the string). the same can be done by $(var).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Kiran.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
