I have moved my BI database to a new server, but when i try to connect in qlikview I get this message

I have no idea to solve this issue?

Force 32 bits perhaps?

You can check this checkbox in the loadscript editor. I think it is a mismatch between 32bits and 64 bits.

Ok.

What I know next to this is that there are 2 places where odbc connections are managed. 1 place for 32bit and one place for 64 bit

c:\Windows\SysWoW64\odbcad32.exe for 64 bit

C:\Windows\System32\odbcad32.exe for 32 bit

Perhaps when you make an odbc connection in both of them to test which one you need, you can get it working...

Make sure the ODBC connection exist and works in the ODBC control panel Start > Adminstrative Tools > Data Source (ODBC)

and that they have the same DSN name.

it works in windows ?

but not in qlikview - I have tried to reinstall mysql multiple times

Try to use a OLE DB connection instead of ODBC, OLE DB is the never technologi and more stable. Simply select OLE DB in the connection menu in QV and enter the same credentiels etc.

Usually its installed together with the ODBC connector
