Sort INLINE Problem

Hi,

I am having problems sorting the following at script load time:

LOAD

* INLINE
[
SEGMENT, SORT ORDER
P & B, 1
MISC, OTHER 2
*NOT APPLICABLE*, 3
]

;

It seems the problem is to do with the 'comma' and the asterisks as it sorts fine if I do the following:

LOAD

* INLINE
[
SEGMENT, SORT ORDER
P & B, 1
MISC OTHER 2
NOT APPLICABLE, 3
]

;

However, I need it sorted with the comma and asterisk included, any ideas how this can be done?

Hi,

you should use delimeter:

LOAD

* INLINE

[

SEGMENT, SORT ORDER

P & B, 1

MISC OTHER, 2

NOT APPLICABLE, 3

]

(delimiter is ',')

;

OR (If you need *)

LOAD

* INLINE

[

SEGMENT, SORT ORDER

P & B, 1

MISC OTHER, 2

*NOT APPLICABLE*, 3

]

(delimiter is ',')

Hi, the default delimiter is ','. So that isn't of influence. If you meant to have a fieldvalue of "MISC, OTHER" then you'll need to change the default delimiter to for instance ';'

LOAD * INLINE [

SEGMENT; SORT ORDER

P & B; 1

MISC, OTHER; 2

*NOT APPLICABLE*; 3

] (delimiter is ';');

In your script examples the placement of the comma's was different/partially missing. At least seems to me.
