How to Improve Performance

Hi,

I have been working on some reports and now they are deployed and QA is being done on them. But one thing which I notied that the performance is very very slow. For example there are more than 3 million records in one table and and 6 million on other and yet 13 million in another.

When I apply some filters with which resulting records are around 13000. It is taking ages to refresh the table.

Is that normal for this much data?

If not what should be the expeted time for this type of reprot refresh and how can I imporve the performacne of my report?

Pulling 13000 records out of a few tables with a few million rows each shouldn't take long at all. If I noticed anything taking longer than a second or so, I'd be looking into how to improve things. You can't always get good performance, but it's usually possible. As far as general advice, I'd start here:
