change the selection on one table based on selection on another unassociated table

Hi,

I have two unassociated tables "Cause" and "Result". I would like to change the selection on tablle "Result" based on the value that I select on table "Cause". I've tried to use "Triggers" but couldn't get what I want. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

You're pretty close. You only need to add a search string: ='(' & concat(distinct Cause,'|') & ')'
