Licensing issue

i have a licensing isuue when i am leasing the license from server

when i open the server it opens , and i can see the files and open also

but once i come out of this then i am still with personal edition.

or am i missing anything

i used this qvp://servername

before i was able to lease the license but now i am not able to do this???

could someone give ur views about this ..]

Shree,

Have you tried restarting QV Services.

The procedure is as follows:

Go to QlikView--File--Open In Server

In the Connect to Server widow, click anonymous and click on Alternate Identity and specify your USERID there.

In the Server field, type qvp://yourUserID@ServerName and click Connect.

Enter the password for this user when prompted.

Open a File from the list. Close the file and verify if the license has been leased.

Possibly you are able to get a document or session cal, but not a user cal. If you want to lease a license your server must have a user cal available to assign to you. See here for a technical brief pdf from QlikTech.

i tried above one but it still shows as the personal edition..

i am able to open the documents,

this has worked before but now its not working?

anyother solution would be helpfu..

Hi Shree,

U need to have document cal. wat gysbert said is the correct
