To use Custom Directory for Authentication should DMS be enabled?

To all,

We have done the development for one of my customers and want to create user names for the cals.

The customer doesnt have Active Directory, so we created Custom Directory.

The usernames created are not been accepted for Authentication/login.

The license file says DMS enabled as No.

So should I ask Qliktech to regenerate the license file with DMS enabled?

Hi Saurabh,

If the LEF file for the license says that DMS is not allowed then it's a Small Business Edition license and you will not be able to use DMS and Custom Directory for the users.

Maybe if you can share a bit more on the situation there are alternatives? Using local directory and setting up the users on the machine?

Well we have a customer who has bought SBE license. They dont want to use AD.

1. How can I build the custom directory and use DMS. Is it possible.? Can a request to Qliktech enable the DMS in a SBE license?

2. Or do I need to add the users via Windows users in that Server?

Well you can ask but you'll probably be rejected.

You need to use local windows users.
