Not to load a value '-'

Hi,

I would like to eliminate all the rows of a table having empty a specific field.

I supposed I have to write:

LOAD

...

where field<>'-'

but it does not work

I wrote also:

where field<>Null

and it gives me syntax error.

How can I write this condition correctly?

where len(trim(field))<>0
