Multiple expression names on x-axis when no dimension

This is probably really basic stuff, but I've drawn a complete blank with how to do it.

I have a bar chart that has multiple expressions but no dimension. What I want to show is the expression names associated with each expression on the X-axis of the chart.

I've found an example where this has been done on these very forums, but I can't see anything different in the chart properties between my chart and the downloaded one.

Can anyone shed any light on how this done please? I don't want to use a legend because it's difficult to tie the expression name back to the specific bar in the chart.

Have you tried just disabling the legend (unchecking 'Show legend') in presentation tab of chart properties?

Doing so, I get the expression labels written below the x-axis as requested (Using QV11).

If this is not helping you, could you link or post the sample app you mentioned, so we can check how it's accomplished there?

Thanks for the reply. I had turned the legend off and saw no change.

However, the chart area was filling the whole box so the x-axis was sitting flush with the bottom of the box. The labels were there, I just couldn't see them.

Knew it would be something silly like that!
