Function Sequence Error

Guys,

Is any one of you here has any ideas regarding a error called Function Sequence Error in QlikView? I am facing this issue randomly at anypoint of time on extraction of the QVDs from the database. It comes as a result of loss of connectivity of the QlikView to the Database.

At times the whole QVW may gets reloaded with out any issues, and at times the same QVW is failing after generating few QVDs. The QVD extraction process is not happening smoothly beacuse of loss of connectivity issues.

Could anyone cite the real reason for being so and any resolutions for this? Has it something to do with the ODBC drivers compatibility with the QlikView hardware?

Is it this error occurs for only the same table of DataBase or like any table ?

No, as already mentioned its not for same particular table. This issue is coming for any of the tables from any databases at any point of time. Sometimes its failing at first table itself, sometimes after 10 tables. I got the error at this table, but at the next run this will be executed fine, but I may get the issue at some other table.

HI,

It looks there might be some Version compatibility issue of the OS or Driver .

I dont know the exact problem .

But if you wont get the solution for this issue then you can try to use the below solution.

As you said some times this issue is occuring .

You have to do some coding so that

you can try to have the error check in the Script and if there is a error just try to load the same table one more time .
