QV11 Send to xls (2003)

Hi all,

I am facing a problem after upgrade to QV11. While using QV10 when we are trying to Send to Excel (2003) more than 65000 rows excel create a file for the first 65000 rows and a second file for the rest rows. After upgrading to QV11 and without any change to MS Office, when we are trying to Send to excel more than 65000 rows we receive the attached error. Any ideas?

I also want to mention that when we use the Export option form the right click and save the data to a .xls format everything works fine. The problem occures only with the Send to Excel option which is used to work with version 9.

Please advice.

In Qlikview Desktop you can change this by opening the About Qlikview... window. Next right click the Qlikview icon in the bottom left corner. Locate the RowLimitForCvsInsteadOfXls setting and change the value from 65536 to a larger value. Click Set to apply the change.

For Qlikview Server you have to change this setting in the settings.ini file in C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\QlikViewServer

[Settings 7]

RowLimitForCsvInsteadOfXls=65500

Dear Gysbert,

Thank you for your answer the straing thing is that the first step works fine for the QV Desktop client but the second one does not change a thing for the internet client. Although we have add the RowLimitForCsvInsteadOfXls=65500 in the settings.ini file they could not apply send to excel for all their data. Any ideas?

It was a version bug which is fixed in 11.20!
