Ad-Hoc Query tool Within Qlikview

I am reaching out to the community because I have been tasked with creating a Qlikview that allows the users to build a data set on the fly. So they will have the ability to choose a set of columns, calculations such as (Max, Median, Avg). I was wondering if anyone has done this before and if so and examples they would be willing to share. Thanks in advance.

If you have QV 11, see the Start Page, Getting Started, What's New in QlikView11. When open application, go to the tab Reports. It has an example of an "ad-hoc" table where user can choose dimensions and measures from the pre-defined sets.

It is based on conditional show of dimensions and expressions which are pre-bilt in the table.
