SET Analysis and Alternate States

Hi,

I have a problem to use alternate states together with Set analysis.

I want to display the SUM of Sales for the previous year in a straight table. The straight table has the alternate state "Group 3", thus I formulated the expression as follows:

Sum( {[Group 3]} { $<Year = { $(=max(Year)-1)}>} Sales )

Now the above expression does return the sum of last years sales, however it doesn't "respond" to selections made in list boxes given the alternate state "Group 3", rather it responds to selections made in list boxes with an inherited state (default state).

What am I doing wrong?

Try: Sum( {[Group 3]<Year = { $(=max(Year)-1)}>} Sales )
