Reg : Multi User Acces Control

Hai all i am new for QlikView , Her i am using QlikView 11 server (Not publisher) . Totally i have 8 QVW , I want to give this QVW files to 8 persons. While the user log in to the server depending on the name the relevent QVW will show auto matically others QVW will hide. Is there is any way ?

Hi Prassana,

Not very clear with your question but I'm assuming that you wanted to hide documents based on Section Access. You need to check - "Filter Access Point Document List Based on Section Access", which you can enable in QlikView Version 10 and 11 under the Document Properties >> Server.

And I'm also attaching a tutorial on Section Access for your reference. Please provide detailed information if you need more help.

If you set the authorization per user on the document correctly, the user will actually only see the documents in accesspoint which he is authorized to open.

So if you set the DMS settings per document (to the named user you want) or the file permissions (if using NTFS authorization), you should get what you want.

Are you using SBE or EE of the QV server? Are you using DMS or NTFS authorization?

Thanks for your replay .. Yes u r rite. i am hiding the qvw file based on user . As you said i check - "Filter Access Point Document List Based on Section Access", but its not working for me. But as your ref document i used access point script from my database also its working but while server reload auto matically its not reloed its shows "red cross' error. Kindly help me .
