How to create Independent sheets

I have a dashboard with 5 sheets,

I want to add a new sheet but I need this sheet to be disconnected to the others 5 sheets.

Additionally I want to use the same table (filter) like Time, customer …

I want that the new sheets and its objects not be influence (Independent) by the selection that made in one of the first 5 sheets.

I hope explain myself

You can implement it by just USING Alternate State option of QV11

in that sheet properties go to trigger tab add action on both on active or or leave Sheet

i.e clear all

Add Action -->Add-->Clear all then ok

for making independent sheet--

right clik on dashboard of currnt sheet

properties

trigger

Active sheet--> add action -->select clear all

Leave sheet ---> add action--> select clear all option

then your sheet to be independently work

Sharon,

It's a very useful concept and worth reading and learning. I suggest to go through the qv manual or help. once you understand the concept you would be able to implement it. the otherway you can follow as mentioned by Mohit, but in that case your previous selections would go away.

Go to Settings--> Variable Overview

Hi,

---Go to setting at top of the our development tool

----go to document properties>>>>General---

----Click on ALTERNATE STATE button <<<<<<

----Create a new Alternate State as I have created "INdependent"

-----Apply it

-----Now on the sheet you want to be independent go to all Objects properties Tab

----then On GEneral Tab just near the ObjectID there is option Alternate State with drop down option click it and select the State created by you....

And if its done to you so mark the thread with Answer or Helpful Answer so that in future one can get solution from this thread only
