How to add total column on pivot table ?

Hi All

I have a pivot table , which compute Exp type by month.

with michael help , i manage to display the Total Row at the top. So now i can view the month total exp amount.

Now i need to display Column total. can some one help me. So that i can display which is overall total amount on exp type for last 2 year.

Its same like how you did for Row..

For getting column total you have to select last dimension and tick "show partial sums"

The issue is the check box is disable. i am not able to tick.

Both your advise not work.

So i believe my pivot table have some setting which make the show partial total disable.

Finally i have a another QV doc , which also have same table , and i copy to my sheet and it work fine.

Your image show the result is correct . How you do it . Care to give me the step ? As mine the show patial sub total check box is disable.

Hi paul,

I did which Mr. Michael told you.

" go to the tab "Style", and uncheck "indent mode". After this, you can use "show partial sums" (Presentation tab)."

For enabling "Show Partial Sums", "Indent Mode" should be un checked.

Dear,

Indent Mode (Pivot Table):

If this check box is marked, the pivot table's left (column) dimensions will be displayed in indent mode.

This means that the dimension values will replace the "Total" label, allowing for a compact display with just small indents between dimensions.
