Multiple start and end dates

I need help and/or suggestions on how to solve my problem with multiple start and end dates.

I have two tables, one "work" table and one "absence" table (people that are working and people

that are absent). What I want to accomplish is to display number of distict id:s (people) working

and are absent on a specific date. I'd like show it in a chart ike this:

I have managed to create something...but I am not sure it is correct or the best way to do it. I tried combining the

tables but couldnt get it to work. I may want to add more dimensions to the id, and store_id (like name) at a later stage.

Try to apply Inverval Match Function , using this you can achieve the same what exactly you want
