i hav installed oledb for oracle and oracle XE.

Bt still not able to connect to oracle..I read sumwhere that i need to install oracle instant cleint also bt am not getting link for that.can anybody pls give me steps for connecting to oracle..

First check your ODBC connection in Windows, to see if that's working. This is likely not to be a QlikView but Oracle issue.

Are you using 64 or 32bits? On my 64 bits installation I encountered a similar problem that was solved by installing a visual c++ library. You might also need to install JDK if you don't already have it. Please provide the error messages you get (for Windows ODBC), for more info.

Install oracle client on Your development server.

2. create a ODBC and name it (Take help of IT team of client).

i am trying to connect with OLEDB(32 bit) driver for oracle on 64 bit machine.

Bt when i put XE as datasource and username and password ,i am getting ORA-12154 error.Is it coz of some error in TNS.ORA file??and do i need to install oracle instant cleint??
