Hi All,

Can any one suggest any other alternative way for sending Qlivkiew objects(Grids & Charts) to Excel without the use of macro as due to security concerns in my organization its restricted.

Hi,

You can use the normal way of clicking on the XL icon or right click on the chart and graph and select send to excel.

Thanks Rajesh for your time, but by sending to excel I mean to say automatically the reports need to be send to excel by using some tool or some other way around.

Have a look at ServerSideExportEx in the API guide. If you want to export objects when reloading.

I also recommend NPrinting.

With NPrinting you can schedule the delivery of QlikView charts, tables and objects in Excel, Word, Powerpoint and HTML format to folders, email addresses or Google Drive. You can also tailor each object by user so, in an international company for instance, you can filter the data so that a manager in India would receive objects containing only Indian business data.

Thank you so much Neil for your suggestions, in my organization there is CIA Report Manager tool Available for exporting to Excel or pdf,so focusing on that. Please let me know if you have any suggestion on that.

Thanks Jerry for replying, but in my organization we have licenses for CIA Report Manager ,so if you have any idea on it please let me know. I am very new to that tool so facing many issues.

By using CIA report manager, you can extract data from specific QV objects in the form of tables, text, images, cyclic & iterative dimensions. You also have the ability to loop through fields to create focus set reports.

CIA also has a very powerful built-in scripting language that does high end development of report writing.

Hi Jerome,

I am able to export to excel using CIA report manager,but not able to assemble it with Qliview Accesspoint,

How can I trigger this external application from AccessPoint + user want this to be happen in back end,doesnt want to see the CIA interface.

Any suggestions.

Report manager provides DLL & commandline utility but can you tell how to inplement those like CIARMRemoteCMD.exe or CIAReportManagerInterface.dll?

This can be done using the on demand functionality in CIA. There are some tutorials available but I haven't used it before, unfortunately.
