I am not sure if this is a known issue or not. I am having a heavy headache while trying to implement alternate state. Issues are as follow:

Without any change in the application, for same selection the output is different (sometimes it takes the alternate state into consideration and sometimes doesn't.)

Very often, even a very small sized app(<10MB) with proper model gets hanged(specially when select a non-default state field).

I am trying to trigger an action against a 'Change In' in variable which stores a selection string of an alternate state field. Surprisingly, sometimes it works when i keep the variable visible (in a textbox), that is if i don't put the variable in text box the trogger doesn't work.

Please let me know if somebody has experienced the same.

Thanks.

It seems that, alternate state is not stable yet (specially when there are many states).

I had the same issue too, very annoying.

Other than this, the variables I set up using Variable Overview are not predictable either. It seems if I click on the month or year slowly, it turns to be more stable. But if I do it faster (not flying on the screen though...), it just returns random values.

I had a onsit Qlikview training last week and showed these problems to the instructor. But he had no idea either.
