Hi all,

i'm after some technical advice on how to satisify a requirement we have for a graph in an app.

We are reading a XLS spreadsheet into qlikview which has a row for each support call our helpdesk system logs

Each row will have a status, a created date, a closed date and many other bits of info.

We need to plot 3 lines on a chart:

1. Count of Calls created per week

2. Count of Calls closed per week

3. Outstanding calls per week.

1 and 2 are simple and come straight from the metrics already existing in the xls.

the 3rd, requires a calculation based on an initial number of outstanding calls (based on status <> 'closed')

Each week's value for #3 is a calculation of LAST WEEK'S value, PLUS opened calls this week MINUS closed calls this week.

I'm sure there must be a way of tackling this in Qlikview, but I'm not sure where to start.

Has anyone on this forum achieved the same thing?

Or does anyone have any advise/suggestions?

thanks in advance,

Matt
