Direct Keyword used for Direct Discovery feature of qlikview:

if you read data by using Direct keyword, the data will not be saved in qlikview document, it will be loaded at run time,

and there are more restrictions and features on how to calculate direct discovery data, expressions. and so.

generally for direct discovery feature you will write script like below line

Direct Select instead of SQL Select in your load Script...

Table:

Direct Select

Id,

Name, abd,

so,

and so

from

abc,........
