Hi all,

I am trying to load some metadata into QV but keep getting the error for one file which is:

An invalid character was found in text content.

On line number: 4620. On column number: 13. System ID: file:///C:/Users/SVC_ER~3/AppData/Local/Temp/31/qvx35CA.tmp.

Does anyone have any idea how to test what the invalid character may be?

I have the exact same issue.

How did you tracked down which special character was causing the error???

I have experienced this issue before and found that there is one or more variables in my document that contain invalid characters or values. Deleting these variables or redefining the variable values can help to resolve the problem. Typically I have found these variables to be ones that are left in the document and are no longer in use. Somewhere along the line after many reloads and no new value assignment they end of containing a bad value. This seems random to me so far and I have not identified the cause of the bad values and how they get into the file to begin with.
