Also take a look at

Show All Values in Dimension tab, from help

Enable this check box to show all the dimension values regardless of the selection. As the expression value is zero for excluded dimension values, the option Suppress Zero-Values in the Presentation page must be deselected for Show All Values to work. Show All Values does not apply if you use an expression as dimension.

Hi,

I have some data for Oct, Nov and Dec in my bar chart. However, my customer still wants other months to be shown with zero value of the measure.

My question is that is there anyway to force other months to show even if there is no data in it. I want to do this without having to join all months with every record. I was wondering if there was any option in the chart properties to do this? When I try to check the continuous option in axis properties, I see some strange numbers like 10.2, 10.4 etc but I actually want to show all months from Jan through Dec even though the data is only for Oct, Nov and Dec

Regards

Syed

Hey Syed,

In the Chart properties > Presentation Uncheck 'Suppress Zero values' and 'suppress missing' check box.

It will show all the dimensions irrespective of whether there was a valid expression value or not

Hope it helps

thanks

AJ

This looks like a master calendar. A good thread for it: Creating A Master Calendar

By (left) joining the original table to the calendar by the record date, and using month of the calendar as a dimension, it should lead to what you want.

You could also on the dimensions tab highlight the month dimension and check "Show All Values"
