Reading Log files

I am reading the log file for the Analysis. It is not completely structured which means the error details column value is getting in to next line and not able to get the details correctly.

Col A Col B Col C Col D

1/2/2013 Information User1 loaded

the data.

So this is the way the log file has the data.It is not always the value in the column D is wrapped to next line and the text is not always same. Is there any work around other than fixing the log file.

Thanks for the response. I do understand the concept of log file and the system Monitor/Governance Dashboard.

The actual question is how to read the unstructured data.
