License lease

Hi All,

I have a scenario where a user has been using a qv license leased from some environment. Now, the lease is no more needed.

Is there a way to undo this. I mean how this user can stop using the lease from this particular environment?

Hi,

you could remove the user license from the management console.

System - Licenses select the qlikview server and in the Client Access Licenses (CALs) - Assigned CALs you could remove.

Is there any way I can do it without using management Console and directly from the qlikview client installed on user machine?

No that is not possible I guess, the ebst way to do it is to remove the user from the management console. You can remove the assigned CALs.

In the client QV Desktop go to Settings--> user preferences-->LicenseTab-->clear license information

so you let go the license without using QMC
