Protected Dimension

Hi everybody,

i have an issue on a table .

i'm using a dimension column as a filter and in the same time in several tables . my need is, in one of theese tables i want that the dimension is not affected by the choice maked in the filter .

how can i do that ?

You can use, set analysis for that.

Exp:

sum({$<Region = >} Sales)

Returns the sales for current selection, but with the selection in “Region”

removed.

Click with right button in the table and select Detached.

If you have QV11 you can also use alternate states. On the General tab of the document properties window you can add a new alternate state. You can then assign that new alternate state to the table on the General tab of the tables properties window. Selections in the default state will not affect charts/tables that use an alternate state.

But still not find the right solution .

what i have is a dimention table table which i want ti display on a table . and i want that this table it not affected by filters .
