Grouping of elements based on condition

Wanted to know how to group elements based on a condition.

for Example :

I have a drill down at Media Level. I have two media types M1 and M2.

If M1 is selected data is displayed at monthly levels 'Jan', 'Feb', 'Mar', 'Apr' ... 'Dec' and when M2 is selected data is displayed at quarterly levels 'Q1', 'Q2', 'Q3' and 'Q4' .

What I wanted is that if both media types are selected, then the data is displayed at Quarterly level i.e. Q1 = 'Jan' + 'Feb' + 'Mar' (of M1) + Q1 (of M2) and Q2 = 'Apr' + 'May' + 'Jun' (of M1) + Q2 (of M2) and so on.

Is there any way to achieve this?

Hi,

maybe it is possible with nested groups, it is only an idea I don't test the solution.

You can use conditionals on dimensions

MediaTypes = 'M1' for Moths

MediaTypes = 'M2' for Quarter

Go to chart propierties... dimensions tab....select your field and check enable conditional and write it...

sle
