Issue with straight tables in Container object

Hi Friends,

I am using QlikView 11. I am facing a strange issue when i am trying to show three straight tables in a container object.

That is, when the three straight tables are added to a container object and when I try to reduce the width of the container object, normally I expect a horizontal scroll bar to appear. But this is not happening.

Please see the attached example file which is showing this issue.

Is this a qlikview bug ?

Kindly reply if you have any idea about this.

Container objects are generally very buggy - especially with scroll bars. I'd avoid them.

The other downside of a container object is there is no way of knowing which chart is in focus. I always opt for multiple charts conditionally shown (and calculated) using field selections as these can be bookmarked for easy viewing later.

Hi Vishnu,

It is a bug, but you can achieve the same by using Text objects as buttons and show/hide the charts based on the variable. Please find attached file for solution.

Thanks Jason, Jagan and Yojas.

I figured out that the problem is not with container, but with straight tables themselves. If you have many dimensions and one expression in straight table, its still not allowing us to resize the width (basically to reduce the width) providing a horizontal scroll bar. Should be some bug in qlikview but the its really sad as it is one of the very basic component in qlikview and it shoudn't have this problem.

Hi, I downloaded the solution file, and see the scroll bar. But how did you do it?

Hi Chris,

Yojas has moved all dimensions (except the first one) to the expressions tab. So this is a good work around.
