Display Group expression label name in text object

Hi All,

I had created one group with two fields and added that group as dimension in bar chart. Now I had created one group for two expressions in expression tab.

Everything is fine, but I want to display Expression label in one text object what I selected in cyclic group. i.e. outside of the chart in text object.

For example: I had two expressions i.e. sum(val)-> Sum and Count(val) as Count

When I select Sum from cyclic group of chart. I need to display "Sum" in text object.

Expression cycle is a property of the chart, and is not available outside of the chart.

A possible workaround is to control both chart expression and text box from another object - input box or button by using a variable.

Yes you are right. Right now I'm controlling those expressions with two variables. Variable contains the list of fields need to be selected, this can be done by using input box.

For example vExpr1 =Field1;Field2;Field3, in input box with drop down. When I select field it will implied in expression i.e. sum($(vExpr1)).

But I had give label name as SalesAmount for this expression. I want to display this label name in text object.

Right now I don't have any trick for this.

Jagan,

I don't want to control the expression outside the chart. B'coz I already the expression fields are depending on other input box variable.

Hi,

There is no need to control the expressions, you just click on that expression group image, the expression automatically changes and the variable will change, based on the variable you can display the values in the text box.
