Value based sort order

Attached is the sample data , i need the red highlighted columns as in sample data , i need to get one project where the date is the earliest (min date) and Release Type value in the order A part of > Align>Aware..If a project does not have highest release type value ...then get the next highest value in the order Apartof>Align>Aware .Only one record has to appear for a particular Project. Can some one please help

unfortunately i did not understand what you did here ... why did we give a sort order using Apply Map function and also why did we hide a column in staright table box.

Sorry for not being able to explain the issue properly .. i have a staright table which is displaying duplicate project numbers because of 3 release types ... i have 2 criterias to show single record for each project number 1. Start date ... start date should be the earliest start date of all dates for a project numbers .. but there are same min start dates multiple times as shown in sample data . 2 criteria is release type column , there are 3 values in release type "A Part of " , "Align" and "Aware" ... the highest prioritized value is "A Part of " , So say for example there is a record with same earliet dates multiple times we need to pick one record which has " A Part of" as release type , if there are mutiple records with "A Part of" as release type , then we have to pick first record in the staright table which has "A Part of"... hope this helps 😞

As my understanding I have created a Logic see the attachment.

Over view:

I have ranked your A part of > Align>Aware. as 1,2,3

So I have have a calculation with Set analysis as Min Rank always selected.

So whatever the criteria it will give you always Minimum

You can remove data entry of "A part of" and it will automatically give the next Priority as MINIMUM is always selected.

First, I´ve created changed your field to implement a fixed order A part of > Align>Aware

Then Into the graph, I´ve done a calculated dimension returnin the min of your field

I think we are almost there for the solution .. but what if there are same Release Type values , on the same min date for one Project ? can i just pick one of those 2 records .. just the first displayed value ?

i am actually getting blanks with the current expression for release value.

I think it should work if you see we have already same release Type Values on same Min date for one project

and still our Output is showing only one it will always Display only one if there are still more than 2 same data entries.

Even I created a Rank list box where you will have flexibility to give priority to RANKS i.e A part of > Align>Aware
