Hi,

I have used the Qlikview Optimizer 8.5 to get the statistics of a dashboard. But unfortunately I am not able to figure out how I would make use of the statistics to optimize the dashboard.

I can see the amount of resources that are being utilized by various objects, variables etc. But since I do not have anything else to compare these to, I do not know if these resource utilizations are high or low or appropriate. Basically, i do not have a baseline to compare to.

Would anybody be able to guide me on this? Or am I completely on the wrong track?

Take a look at http://community.qlik.com/blogs/qlikviewdesignblog/2013/01/28/memory-statistics. Basically this is the same as the QlikView Optimizer.

In such an application, you can see the relative sizes of the objects and and see which ones consume more memory or CPU time. These are the ones you should optimize. "Optimize" could mean to remove a dimension, simplify the expression, change a calculated dimension to a field, etc. Or to remove the object altogether.

Do you have a memory problem or a performance problem? If not, you probably shouldn't optimize at all.
