How do I Adjust folders in QMC Status/Tasks

Hi All

I am trying to remove or even rename folders in Qlikview management console.

Does any one have a clue where i could do this?

Hi,

The summary of the tasks is based on your folder structure defined on your server where you store keep your 'Source Documents', so you actually need to make these kinds of changes in Windows (or whatever OS you're running), obviously making sure that you follow your usual backup / maintenance processes, before you just rename/delete a folder.

I think the above is not quite right actually !. I think by reassigning categories on tasks to ones you want will be the same as renaming the folder (in the Tasks lists). And if you assign zero tasks to a category you don't want, then that folder will essentially appear to be deleted from the Tasks list.

Tasks themselvs should be deleted from the Source Documents tab.

Actually just found this

Document Information

On the Document Information tab, a category for the current document can be assigned, created, edited, and deleted. Categories are used to bundle documents in containers, to make categorization easier for the end-user. The categories are only visible to the end-user on the QlikView AccessPoint. Each document can only be part of one category.

General

Select Category

To assign a category to a document, select one of the available categories, presented in the drop-down list.

Default value: Default.

Or Type a New Category

To create a category, enter a descriptive name in this text box. The new category will be available in the Select Category drop-down list. The category is presented on the QlikView AccessPoint.

Note! Categories can be reassigned, but cannot be deleted.

So i take it cannot be deleted, only saves it?

They should make this possible because can get confusing if you want to make similar folders or the list is really big?
