Q.V Server, CALs Related

Hi Every body,

I have 1 Named CAL & 2 Document Cal , My question is , how can Multiple Users can acess the same Application???

My issue is if User1 is accessing the .qvw application , at the same time User2 is trying to accessing the same application ,he is getting error like (Local host could not be opened) how to fix it ,

(when User2 trying to login the same application the CAL should automatically disconnect to user 1 and assigned to User2, how to do this???)

You means to say when you are accessing the application in web browser means access point?

Yes, on IE9 , actually 1 Named CAL is used for only one user ,

if user1 is accessing application, at that time user2 try to open application , the user1 should automatically disconnected from that application , this is by default but in my case , user2 unable to accesss the application ,until the user1 logout from the application ,how to fix this and also showing error msg : "iis authentication error, local server couldnt not open"

Hi,

Generally this happens, when both the user login's with the same user name and password.

Kindly assign 2 seperate licenses to them.

but we hav only 1 Named and 2 Doc CALS ? alternatively Users can use the same application rt ??

Yes ,they can use application .But one at a time if they are logging with same crendential for named cal as named cal is 1.

for document cal you have to give the permission to users to use document.

Hi,

No.

You need to define that which user will have what kind of license.

For Named CAL you must assign under -> System -> License -> QlikView Server -> CAL's -> Assigned CAL

For document CAL you must assign under ->Document -> Select the Document for which you want to assign the CAL to user -> Document CAL
