Referencing an earlier row using AUTOGENERATE / Excel cellular reference

Greetings QV,

I have a two pronged question here:

1. I am trying to generate a randomized data-set using AUTOGENERATE in which I want to look back to the prior autogenerated row to check that the next row is chronologically sequential. I can do this if I store the table, but is there syntax which I can look back to the prior row OF THE SAME FIELD during an AUTOGENERATE?

I have tried various Peeks(), RowNo()'s, RecNo()'s, Previouss() and can't seem to look back into the same field without generating an error.

My objective is to create:

Autogenerate ~ RandomStartDate / RandomEndDate

next row:

Autogenerate ~RandomStartDate2 (greater than prior row) / RandomEndDate (also must be greater than prior row)

2. When using the Excel transformation wizard it has been very helpful for plucking specific ranges from spreadsheets. However, in my scenario what I'd like to extract from is form data (single cells of information spread around the spreadsheet), is there a way to pluck from a specific cell only? (i.e. is there cellular reference syntax?)
