or can we change the default file URL to another name as default when add favorites is click?

If you're referring to users connecting to a document on QlikView Server you have the possibility to disable Server Collarboration from the QVS Management Console. They'll still be able to create user bookmarks though.

You asked several questions on the forum about hiding functionality like "open in server" and "Favorites" from the user. I assume you are using the Qlikview win client? Have you considered not using the WinClient for some or all of your users? You can create your own interface by just creating a web page with the links you want open the docs in the IE plugin.

I'd say - we should just install "wired" mice. Wouldn't it be great? Every time the user does something stupid - we'd send a jolt through the mouse, and that's it! No more problems

We could add an API:

ActiveDocument.ActiveUser.Electrify 10,000

That's what I don't like about wireless mice. We've lost such a valuable feedback mechanism.

Saychao, all kidding aside, there are many ways to deliver qlikview documents and data to users. It is certainly appropriate that different user groups may have different interfaces and different levels of functionality. Rather than trying to customize the WinClient, I'd suggest you consider all these different ways of delivering Qlikview data to users, and how well they may match your business objectives.

- iPhone
- Object in Power Point (very cool - can't even tell QV is involved)

- Data and graphic charts exported to Excel files.
- Static charts exported to *.jpg files and reused in web pages.

I'm sure others can add to this list.

Hi Rob,

Thanks for your suggestion and yes, i am using win client..

I am trying to come up with interactive report so that user can filter data to their needs, but i would also like to restrict them from doing "funny" thingys.
