Prj is a feature of QV11, it's an optional folder relative to qvw where the objects and layouts are stored in xml.

This information can be useful in different cases.

Project file contains the properties of the qlikview worksheet(qvw).
To create project folders for QVW just create a folder with the same name as qvw with -prj extension.
With this you can use the objects and layouts of one qvw into another qvw b just renaming the folder and also you

can easily make changes to the properties of the objects, variables in the qvw, etc.
