Set analysis expression for .....

Hi i have a scenario where my start date is ''1-01-2010"

My records start from this date...if i select a particular month sum of total of selected month till (last date of selected month..ie.,max(date) of that month) from start date(1-01-2010) should be selected .....

Need the sum of this expression....

eg: Sum(startdate) and Enddate would me selected month's maxdate....

here how can i give a month selection

..here in expression there is no month syntax

Not quite clear what you are trying. Could you post a sample app and explain expected output against that sample data?

(Attached is the back end data) Here i m Selecting May month in dashboard..on selecting it should select the max date(last date) of the month and calculate the sum of total of previous months(Previous avail data,like my data is avil from '01-04-2011' date) .....need expression for this

Try like:

=Sum({<Month=,Date={"<=$(=Max(Date))"}>}Sales)

This is giving the sum of month....i need the sum of all the previous months till the selected month
