Issue into Switching the Applications

Hi All,

I have requirement like there are 3 Se prate QVW files which belongs to the same module.

& I need to make it globe, where user can flexible to move from one QVW to another.

but the challenge is that we have all the user's who are using the access point from the QV Desktop.

so i can not put web link there is there any other method where i can implement my requirement

please give your comments.

but when i write the whole path of the application into Action it doesn't work from Access point.

Hi Alok,

This is very much possible. Go to access point folder on your server where all the applications are running . Open your application which will be having button say in your example it is Cargo Report. Here in this case you don't have to give complete path of this report just write the name of the report , I'm considering as cargoreport.qvw in this case inside action button against open qlikview document.

assuming Test_123 - Copy.qvw will be placed in the Access point folder.

Thank you for your help.

but let me explain you my scenario is that there both file are into different folder.

1 is into access point and another 1 is into non access point folder have kept.

because dont want to show on access point all the report i just want to show the single QVW file.

for that which are the changes required.

Hi Alok,

I think your scenario is different, you want to link the applications from different folders. I'm not sure whether this can be possible or not. I have linked my reports in the same manner ,but for me all applications are running under access point folder.

Hi,

in this case you can give the relative path in the action.

Suppose "Temp Files" is your another folder with Temp.Qvw file.

you can open the Temp file from Test_123 - Copy.qvw by adding the following code into action.

../Temp Files/Temp.qvw

do not use the double quotes.

Tested the same and its working.
