Direct Discovery Issues

Hi All,

I have only recently begun using Direct Discovery and so far I am not impressed. It constantly hangs, won't export to Excel, and consistently crashes. I was originally excited about trying this feature but now I am hesitant to let my customers anywhere near it. Has anyone else experienced this? I have tried using calculation conditions and limited the table box list threshold but to no avail. Am I alone in this? Can anyone who is using this feature successfully please weigh in with your tips and tricks?

I got this problem too. Maybe there is some limitations of this feature. I use Dimension, Measure and Detail in one table. All data gets by direct query to SQL.

Hi Rebecca,

You are absolutely right. I am facing exactly the same issues which you have mentioned here. What i am trying to do here is Optimize It as much as possible and then finally decide whether to go for it or not
