Hi all,

Is there any way to do search (NOT selecting the item and filter out all others) on a Straight Table (Chart) or Pivot Table (Chart)?

Eg.g If i have 100 items on a table, and the 95th item is a Printer, so what i want to achieve is having a "Search" box then i typed "Printer", the table will auto scroll to the 95th row and this row will be auto highlight. Just like what we normally do a search in excel! Reason is because i want to see that "Printer" is actually the 95th item on my table listing.

Thank you.

Regards,

Say Chao

Hi,

there is no search functionality like this. Even in version 9 which is coming with a very comfortable search box it will make a selection.

But, if your "printer" item is selected and a row number or rank column is displayed you still get the information it is the 95th item on your list.

There is also a search option for columns in table diagrams but this will not scroll, it will select also.

Ralf
